Agos berthynas sydd yn bod

(Perthynas Crist a'i Eglwys)
Agos berthynas sydd yn bod
  Rhwng Crist a'i briod hygar;
Fel gwr a gwraig,
    fel tad a phlant,
  O'r un gogoniant hawddgar.

O gariad! uwchlaw cariad neb,
  Ffynnon doethineb nefol,
Yn cael ei hagoryd yn ein dydd,
  A'i ffrydiau sydd rinweddol.

Duw'n rhoi ei Fab yn rhad i'n rhan,
  Er maint ein haneilyngdod;
Yn Frawd oedd fawr,
    yn Dad sy' fwy,
  A Phriod trwy gyfammod.

Adnabod Duw yn Iesu Grist,
  Wna enaid trist yn siriol;
A'n hundeb nefol di-wahan,
  Trwy'r Yspryd Glân sancteiddiol.

Adnabod Crist mewn undeb clos,
  A hwnnw'n gro'shoeliedig;
Yn rad, yn Briod, ac yn Ben,
  A'n Ceidwad bendigedig.

Agos berthynas addas yw
  Ein bod i Dduw yn feibion;
Yn frodyr Crist yn hyn o fyd,
  A theimlau'r Yspryd graslon.

Rho'wn i rad-ras y clod i gyd,
  Trwy'n bywyd diwyd duwiol;
I'r Tad, a'r Mab,
    mewn nefol gân,
  A'r Yspryd Glân sancteiddiol.

(The Relationship of Christ with his Church)
A close relationship exists
  Between Christ and his lovely bride;
Like a man and wife,
    like a father and children,
  Of the same amiable glory.

O love above anyone's love,
  A wise, heavenly fountain,
Being opened in our day,
  With its streams that are wonderful.

God giving his Son freely for our portion,
  Despite the extent of our unworthiness;
As a Brother who was great,
    as a Father who is greater,
  And a spouse through a covenant.

Know God in Jesus Christ,
  Shall my sad soul cheerfully;
And our heavenly, inseparable union,
  Through the sacred Holy Spirit.

Know Christ in a close union,
  And him crucified;
Gracious, as Spouse, and as Head,
  And our blessed Saviour.

A worthy, close relationship is
  Our being to God as sons;
As brothers of Christ in this world,
  And feel the gracious Spirit.

Let us render to free grace all the acclaim,
  Throughout our diligent, godly life;
To the Father, and the Son,
    in a heavenly song,
  And the sacred Holy Spirit.
